I'm Portia Yates
i'm a multi-passionate kinda of gal
I'm just a girl from the suburbs of Massachusetts.
Who took a chance on achieving big dreams and created a place where she can inspire others to do the same.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Massachusetts by a powerhouse mama. I was a very determined, independent, big hearted little kid who loved creating "businesses" and of course hiring her little brother to help. In a way I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, find ways to teach and help others, but the biggest thing I wanted was to be a mom.
So enter the mompreneur!

We named Jack, in honor of my incredible great-grandfather, John (who also love the Redsoxs!)
Between the daily changes motherhood brings, working on the latest DIY house project, running my own business and being a founder of another, things are never dull. So yeah most days you can find me working on the floor while Jack plays or us strolling around town with our shades on (yes, Jack has baby sunglasses!) When I get some free time, I love snapping photos of our family, busting out my dance moves for TIKTOK and baking my famous chocolate chip cookies.

what I hope for this space
This started as a blog and has turned into my heart. I've always wanted to teach and inspire others, whether it's starting your own business or just have a place to connect with others. After having Jack, I knew how much I needed this space. A space where we can share our struggles and our wins. Where we can get that encouragement when we need as well as seek advice. I like to think of this as a space where we discover who we want to be and go show the world!

I live for a great graphic tee, seriously I have atleast 40 stuffed in a drawer that can't open
I still wear skinny jeans and side part my hair and use the cry-laugh emoji. Suck it, Gen Z.

I've never had a hot dog and used to tell people I was allergic to them so I didn't have to eat one #embarressing
